Growing Cannabis
Growing cannabis, including hemp, is a season-long job of steady care: germination, vegetative growth, flowering, harvest, and curing. This page walks the whole process, starting with the rules that come before any seed.
Check the law first
Growing rules depend on where you live: some places allow home hemp growing, others require licenses, and others allow none at all. Check state and local rules before planting, and keep plants secure and away from children regardless of what the rules allow.
From seed to flower
Germination starts the plant, vegetative growth builds its structure, and flowering produces the buds. Each stage wants different light hours, water, and food. The cultivation and grow guides pages cover each stage in detail, including common mistakes at every step.
Harvest, dry, and cure
Harvest timing protects everything the season built. Dry slowly in a dark space with gentle airflow, then cure in sealed containers opened briefly at first. A patient cure improves flavor and smoothness more than any late upgrade to equipment.
